Spicy Turkey Burgers

Turkey is an amazingly healthy meat choice. Not only is a high protein content food, but it also contains an essential amino acid called Tryptophan. Tryptophan is a pre-cursor to Serotonin, whcih is a neurotransmitter that helps us to relax and gives us a feeling of well-being. Tryptopahn is also used in the body to make Vitamin B3 which is important for the nervous system, digestion and skin health.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams Turkey Mince

  • 1 zucchini (grated)

  • 1 red chilli

  • 1 carrot (grated)

  • 1 tablespoon arrowroot flour

  • 1 tablespoon Curry Powder

  • 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika

  • salt to taste

METHOD

  1. Grate and chop vegetables

  2. add all ingredients together in a mixing bowl

  3. Warm some coconut oil in a fry pan on a medium heat

  4. Cook until brown on each side to ensure centre in cooked through
